There is something both surreal and deeply moving about watching your own book being printed.
The whole process reminds me of an aircraft preparing for takeoff. First, everything is carefully checked. One by one, the machines come to life. Buttons are pressed, systems are activated, mechanisms begin to move. The press slowly gathers speed—and then, suddenly, everything is in motion.
Page by page. Sheet by sheet.
Every single page passes through dozens of printing units before it finally becomes part of a book.
At some point, you realize that the project you've been working on for several years no longer exists only on your computer or in your mind. It has become something real. Something you can finally hold in your hands.
The full print run of Light Through the Ruins will be ready very soon. If everything goes according to plan, visitors to the Book Arsenal Festival in Kyiv will be among the first to leaf through its pages.

On May 21, during the Kamianyi Hist concert at Pepper's Club, we will hold a charity auction organized by NaShapku, raising funds for bone implants for wounded Ukrainian defenders.
The auction will feature something truly unique: the last remaining copy of the book from the pilot print run in my personal collection.
This edition was printed at the end of last year for presentations across Europe. Only a handful of these copies exist in Ukraine.
